Last June, DLR Group, an employee-owned architectural and engineering firm toured Aspiria NOW. DLR was rehabbing their current space and were looking for an interim office for more than 100 employees. They shared that it seemed impossible to find a short-term, 7-month commitment. To add to their challenges, they needed the space to be fully operational in less 3 weeks; it needed to be space that allowed collaboration and it was imperative that the space was attractive for a group of decerning design and architectural professionals.

With all the empty office space in Kansas City, many might think it would be easy to meet DLR’s needs. The DLR leadership team met challenge after challenge until they found Aspiria NOW. In addition to the space meeting their aesthetic goals, Aspiria NOW has built in high-speed technology that could easily be connected and secured for their tech-driven requirements and, most importantly, no long-term lease.

Within two days of the tour, the DLR Group management team got approval to make Aspiria NOW their temporary home. In addition to meeting the firm’s space requirements, the Aspiria campus offered amenities like multiple restaurants, a coffee shop, free covered parking and 3-story fitness center that was free for all of their staff.

After 6 months, DLR has returned to their renovated forever-office.  The Aspiria NOW team was sad to see them leave. In addition to forming lasting friendships, the Aspiria NOW team cherished the opportunity to allow DLR to seamlessly continue its work, without interruption.

As manager of Aspiria NOW, I like to say: “Meeting your needs, no matter how intricate, is who we are. It’s all in a day’s work!”
